Sesame Nori Fries

INGREDIENTS  

Fries

  • 8 medium yukon gold potatoes peeled and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil or any neutral oil
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅓ cup Japanese mayo or sub with regular mayo
  • 4 sheets seaweed snack or sub with Korean seasoned seaweed flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Slice peeled potatoes into ½-inch thick fries. Spread them on the lined baking tray. Add vegetable oil, garlic powder and salt. Massage the seasoning into your fries with clean hands.
  4. Bake for 35 minutes total, flipping the fries over half way.
  5. Meanwhile, cut your seaweed snack into thin strips with clean scissors.
  6. Transfer baked fries to a large serving bowl. Season with sesame oil, sesame seeds, seaweed strips and serve with Japanese mayo. Enjoy while hot!
