Mexican Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 1/4 cup – 1/2 cup fresh cilantro – small stems ok
  • juice of one large lime
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 small Turkish cucumber, cubed (1 cup)
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 1 banana ( frozen is great!)
  • 1 cup baby kale ( optional)
  • 1–3 slices jalapeno ( or more to taste)
  • a couple ice cubes
  • chia seeds- optional

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth, adding a tablespoon of water if necessary to get the blender going. Add a few ice cubes to the blender to chill it (or use frozen bananas or pineapple).
  2. Divide into two glasses and sprinkle with chia seeds
  3. Makes 2 smoothies, or one extra large one.
