Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- 1/2 cup Sweet corn kernels
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 4 tbsp milk
Cooking Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs along with oil, milk and sugar until fluffy.
- Next fold in the dry ingredients like flour and baking powder along with the salt.
- Now stir in the cheese and the corn kernels.
- Grease the idli plates.
- Keep a large vessel ready for steaming with water added to it or a idli cooker.
- Now add a spoonful of the mix into each depression of the idli plate and slowly lower inside the vessel with boiling water.
- Cover and steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
- After 12 minutes, insert a skewer to check whether they are done or not.
- If the skewer comes out clean, it means they are done perfectly well, otherwise steam them for 2 more minutes.
- Serve these yummy cheesy steamed goodies right away with honey or maple syrup or just as it is.
