Japanese chocolate cotton sponge cake
Ingredients
- 6 Eggs
- 60 gms Butter
- 90 gms Plain flour
- 50 ml Milk
- 80 gms Dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 100 gms Powdered sugar
Cooking Instructions
- Separate 5 egg whites and 5 egg yolks. Add one full egg to 5 yolks.
- Double boil dark chocolate, butter and milk together.
- Stop when all dissolves.
- Add vanilla extract, plain flour, cocoa powder.
- Mix well.
- Add salt to egg whites and start beating it. Add sugar in 3 batches and prepare meringue.
- Mix 1/3rd of meringue to chocolate mix. Mix well. Then add altogether and fold gently.
- Pour the mix in butter greased pan. Place it over a big tray. Pour water in the big tray. Bake at 170 degree for 50minutes.
