Ingredients
- 1 pound of chicken breast or thigh, boneless, cubed
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- For Marinate
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 0.3 cup pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 0.5 tablespoon salt
- 0.5 tablespoon black pepper
- 0.3 cup of water
Directions
- For Making Marinate
- Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Stir well to combine or until sugar is dissolved.
- Add cubed chicken to the marinade mixture. Marinate them for at least 4 hours or overnight in the fridge.
- For Cooking Chicken Tocino
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and marinade liquid, then add water and simmer them for 15 minutes or until the liquid evaporates and the chicken is soft.
- Add oil to the pan, and adjust the heat to low. Saute chicken until caramelized for around 5 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, transfer them to a plate or bowl, and serve.
