Classic American Omelette

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • Lot of Cheddar cheese
  • Lot of herbs – I took Chives and Parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a bowl break the eggs, poke with a fork and beat well until the yellow colour is uniform and this is the key to the success of an American Omelette
  2. In a pan add butter and let it dissolve ie no bubbles, add the eggs and let it cook for few seconds.
  3. With a ladle bring the outside part of the omelette to the centre and let it cook as brown as you would like it to be.
  4. Add shredded cheddar cheese and herbs of parsley and chives, fold
  5. Now hold the handle of the pan from under and bring the omelette to the multigrain toast on the centre of the plate. Add some more cheese and herbs
  6. Plate and enjoy
