Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge, melted (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, whole milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks using a hand mixer.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  • If using egg yolks for extra richness, temper them with a bit of the chocolate base, then fold in.
  • Pour half of the mixture into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Drizzle half of the melted fudge on top and swirl gently with a knife.
  • Repeat with the remaining base and fudge.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.
  • Scoop and enjoy straight from the freezer—no machine required!
