Japanese chocolate cotton sponge cake

Ingredients

  1. 6 Eggs
  2. 60 gms Butter
  3. 90 gms Plain flour
  4. 50 ml Milk
  5. 80 gms Dark chocolate
  6. 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
  7. 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  8. 1/4 tsp Salt
  9. 100 gms Powdered sugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. Separate 5 egg whites and 5 egg yolks. Add one full egg to 5 yolks.
  2. Double boil dark chocolate, butter and milk together.
  3. Stop when all dissolves.
  4. Add vanilla extract, plain flour, cocoa powder.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add salt to egg whites and start beating it. Add sugar in 3 batches and prepare meringue.
  7. Mix 1/3rd of meringue to chocolate mix. Mix well. Then add altogether and fold gently.
  8. Pour the mix in butter greased pan. Place it over a big tray. Pour water in the big tray. Bake at 170 degree for 50minutes.
