Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate fudge, melted (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, whole milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks using a hand mixer.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
- If using egg yolks for extra richness, temper them with a bit of the chocolate base, then fold in.
- Pour half of the mixture into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Drizzle half of the melted fudge on top and swirl gently with a knife.
- Repeat with the remaining base and fudge.
- Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.
- Scoop and enjoy straight from the freezer—no machine required!
