- old Japanese green tea kept for a long time
- or season-off Japanese green tea
Cooking Instructions
- Some flavourless old Japanese green tea, the JGT that you kept in a tin or bag for a long time, etc. Do not throw them to the bin or compost. (However, the tea and coffee are really good for your healthy veg bed)
- Put the old tea in a pan (wok, frying pan etc) and roast gently with low heat until light brown colour. Stir occasionally. Not to burn!!
- Spread the roasted tea on a newspaper or sheet. Dry it completely.
Keep the tea in a container, tightly rid on. The tea hate moisture.
- How to brew the tea,,,,, just like an ordinary black tea!!! You can use a hot water, even it was Gyokuro or sencha. The roasted tea called Hoji-cha. Enjoy your refreshed and revived Japanese green tea!!
