Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 pounds party style chicken wings can also use whole chicken wings that have been halved crosswise
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce such as Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing for serving.

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. Place the chicken wings in a bowl. Add the salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder, then toss to coat.
  3. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray. You may need to work in batches if they don’t all fit at once.
  4. Bake for 20-22 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time, until the wings are deep golden brown and crispy.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, butter and honey. 
  6. Remove the wings from the air fryer. Pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Serve immediately with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing.
