Vietnamese Chicken Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 loaf of bread, preferably a short baguette
  • 300 grams chicken breast
  • 0.5 onions
  • 0.5 turnip
  • 0.5 carrot
  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 0.5 cup rice vinegar
  • Herbs: parsley, basil, scallion, etc.
  • 10 ml soy sauce
  • 5 ml oyster sauce
  • 5 ml sesame oil
  • 5 ml honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Mayonnaise
  • Fresh chilies
  • Olive oil
  • Minced garlic

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut the turnip, carrot, and onion into thin slices and pickle them for 15 minutes.
  • Cut the chicken breasts into thin strips and marinate them for 15 minutes.
  • Cook the chicken breasts on medium-high heat for 10 minutes.
  • Split the bread lengthwise and fill it with the chicken, pickles, thinly peeled cucumber ribbons, mayonnaise, herbs, fresh chilies, and seasonings.
