1 large overripe banana, sliced and frozen for at least 1 hour
One 5.3 ounce container plain Greek yogurt (roughly 3/4 cup)
INSTRUCTIONS
In this order, add the mango, banana, and yogurt to a blender. Blend until smooth. If it’s still too thick, add some milk or fruit juice to thin it out. Smoothie is best served when it’s made but you can refrigerate it for up to 1 day.
NOTES
The mango should be juicy and sweet enough on its own to create a smoothie consistency without additional sugar. However, if your smoothie is too thick, gradually add some milk until desired consistency. If your smoothie isn’t sweet enough, add some honey or granulated sugar.
You can also use frozen mango, but you will need to add at least 1/4 cup milk or juice to blend smoothly.
Using frozen banana slices replaces ice cubes, so your smoothie doesn’t get watered down. It also gives it a creamier texture. I highly recommend keeping frozen banana slices in your freezer so you can make this drink at a moment’s notice.
