Korean Spicy Braised Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 600-700g chicken
  • 2 large onions
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 heap tbsp chilli pepper powder
  • 1 heap tbsp korean pepper paste
  • 2 heap tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preparation
  2. Mince the garlic
  3. Cut the onions into small cubes
  4. Peel and cut the potatoes into 3cm pieces
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the garlic, sugar, soy sauce Korean pepper paste and Korean chilli pepper powder
  6. Cooking
  7. At medium heat, place the chicken on the bottom of the pan.
  8. Add the onions and potatoes
  9. Add the seasoning mixture
  10. Place the lid on the pot and let the dish simmer for 20 minutes.
  11. After 20 minutes, stir the stew.
  12. Place the lid back on the pot and let the dish simmer for a further 20 minutes.
