Ingredients

  • 1 pound of chicken breast or thigh, boneless, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • For Marinate
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 0.3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 0.5 tablespoon salt
  • 0.5 tablespoon black pepper
  • 0.3 cup of water

Directions

  1. For Making Marinate
  2. Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Stir well to combine or until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add cubed chicken to the marinade mixture. Marinate them for at least 4 hours or overnight in the fridge.
  4. For Cooking Chicken Tocino
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and marinade liquid, then add water and simmer them for 15 minutes or until the liquid evaporates and the chicken is soft.
  6. Add oil to the pan, and adjust the heat to low. Saute chicken until caramelized for around 5 minutes.
  7. Turn off the heat, transfer them to a plate or bowl, and serve.
